NearShore Solutions GmbH is a Munich based software company with development centers in Minsk/Belarus. We develop exclusively under contract from clients and do not market any of our own products.
The company has over 15 years of experience in nearshore software development, with the founders each having over 30 years of experience in the computer industry.
NearShore Solutions` roots go back to a leading supplier of insurance solutions in Munich/Germany then known as CAF GmbH. When in the early 90s the availability of experienced software developers became scarce, a cooperation with the University in Minsk was started. After CSC Corp. acquired CAF, the nearshore development activities were spun out and one of the first nearshore software development companies in Europe was created, which grew to one of the leading nearshore/offshore suppliers.
Selecting Minsk over the years proved to become a very good decision: the internationally renowned high quality of its technical and scientific academia and education delivers young blood every year, with substantial practical experience even before arriving at the job.
Based on the relatively stable low cost of living in Belarus, we are able to hand over a substantial cost savings to our clients. And the geographical and cultural proximity with Western Europe allow us to work in the same time zone as our customers.
With growing success and demand of its services, eventually in 2007 three more development centers were started in Minsk.
Consequently, in July 2008, we renamed the company to NearShore Solutions GmbH, in order to reflect the now broader scope. Today, NearShore Solutions provides over 600 experienced specialists in the technology fields of Java, .Net, and Web Design, and with applications ranging from low level driver development and embedded software to large enterprise software systems, with the capability to staff even very big and long term projects.
We work predominantly for german and US companies, for software suppliers or IT departments of several corporations, but also as subcontractor for very large projects.
We are exclusively focused on long term cooperation and want to become a true development partner for our clients, making them more competitive in their development efforts.
The principal and foremost important question for the success of a nearshore development partnership is not “are these guys at all capable of helping us?” ! In contrast, it is the capability and willingness of the client and its employees to effectively cooperate with an external partner, and if the targeted project is appropriate for nearshoring. The cooperation with a new client for us always starts first in understanding the client, its targets, processes and methodologies. The next step then is to apprehend the targeted project, its commercial and technical goals and requirements. If these already have been documented, then only the optimal technical solution needs to be discussed, - if not then we are happy to develop these in close cooperation with the client. These are to contain a detailed functional and non-functional description of the software to be developed, a detailed project plan, a process description for development and QA efforts, an acceptance and roll-out plan, and maintenance and roadmap plans.
Our deep experience in offshore development resulted in proven processes, building the foundation for deliveries within time and within budget. Of course, these processes are adaptable to customer needs. But - there are also no compromise areas, like QA must be part of every project plan, from the beginning, and independently managed - with no exceptions.
We offer fixed price contracts, when a detailed specification exists. We work on the basis of daily or monthly T&M rates in all other cases, or we provide your own virtual team, with all team members hand-selected by you, and whose activities you steer and control directly.
Whatever model is the right one for a given project, we can discuss the best solution together with you.
In any case, your development partner is a german corporation, with seasoned managers whose primary target is customer satisfaction. And our contracts conform to EU standards, you do not have to deal with foreign legal and tax systems, employment rules, or any other risks and uncertainties.
